For practicing medicine or health professions legally, you must hold the appropriate governmental or medical board licenses.
    To become a Hakim, you have to take FTJ (Fazil-e-Tibb wal Jarahat) or BUMS degree (Bachelor of Unani Medicine & Surgery), which also needs physical presence at the college, Duration of BUMS Course is 4 Years minimum, with Internship of 1 year at few occasions, i.e. a total of 5 years.
  10. Is prior knowledge of Arabic or Islamic studies required?
    No, courses are designed for beginners as well as those with some background knowledge. All materials are provided in clear, accessible ~ English language, even the Quranic verses & Ahadith are with English translation.
